Kelli Smith, Supervising Clinician/PT

Kelli grew up in Paradise, graduated in 2001, and then began her education at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Her interest in physical therapy developed in high school during Career Day. With a little more research into the field of physical therapy, that desire grew, and she didn’t look back.

Kelli graduated Angelo State with her Master’s in Physical Therapy in 2007 and began her career in a hospital-based outpatient clinic, remaining there for 11 years. In that time, she advanced from a staff physical therapist to Clinic Coordinator of two satellite facilities. In her career, she has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics, but also has experience in home health, skilled nursing, and acute care. She has pursued additional continuing education through multiple manual therapy courses, dry needle training, treatment of vestibular and vertigo conditions and neurological diagnoses. She has been a Certified Clinical Instructor since 2010, and has mentored more than 20 PT/PTA students and many new graduate therapists.

Kelli joined Foundation Therapy in January 2019. She felt a strong pull toward FT’s business model of a one-on-one treatment approach, as well as FT’s desire to be an impact on the local community.

Kelli’s values align with the mission and vision statement of Foundation Therapy of providing individualized care, assisting others to reach their maximum potential, and encouraging an environment for success. She takes pride in helping her patients return to a pain-free way of life.

Kelli met her husband, Clint, at college the first day of Freshman Orientation. They married in 2005 after dating for four years. They have two children, Bailey, born in 2008 and Braden, born in 2014. She enjoys spending time with her family, “football Saturdays”, watching storms roll in, playing cards, outshooting her husband at the firing range, kayaking, vacationing in the mountains, and of course, a good West Texas sunset.
