Patient Care Specialist

I was born and raised in Bridgeport, TX, and graduated from Bridgeport High School. Afterward, I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. My professional journey began as an Implementation Project Manager for a healthcare marketing agency, where I supported healthcare professionals in growing their practices. I then transitioned to working as an Administrative Assistant at an assessment and research center specializing in Autism.

I’m also a former patient of Foundation Therapy, and after completing my PT journey, I was inspired by the amazing staff and the care I received. That experience motivated me to join the team as a Patient Care Specialist, and I’m so grateful to now be a part of it!

With a background in Psychology and several years of experience in client support and administrative roles, I bring a unique blend of empathy, professionalism, and expertise to my work. My prior experience has equipped me with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, which I continue to apply and refine in my current position.

Core Values:

Three core values that guide me are Compassion, Honesty, and Courage. Compassion inspires kindness and understanding, Honesty builds trust through integrity, and Courage helps me face challenges with strength and growth.

I believe one of the biggest challenges patients face is feeling overwhelmed or confused about their care journey. Whether it’s understanding their treatment plan, navigating insurance, or scheduling appointments, these processes can often feel frustrating or intimidating.

I want to fix this by ensuring patients feel fully supported and informed from the moment they walk in. This means being proactive in addressing their questions, simplifying processes, and providing a welcoming, empathetic environment where they feel cared for and valued. My goal is to create a seamless experience that allows patients to focus on their recovery with confidence and peace of mind.

In my current role as a Patient Care Specialist at Foundation Therapy, I focus on ensuring the front office runs smoothly. This includes handling administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing intake processes, making calls, and assisting both providers and patients in any way I can. My role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach to create a welcoming and efficient environment.

What I love most about working here is the environment and the incredible individuals who make it so special. My coworkers genuinely care about others and are deeply committed to helping each patient in the best way possible, which is truly inspiring. On top of that, the patients are so kind and caring, making every interaction a pleasure. Being a part of such a supportive and compassionate community is something I truly value and enjoy every day.

When I’m not working:

I enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my family and friends. I love reading, exploring all genres of music, and expressing my creativity through painting. I’m also a big coffee and plant enthusiast! At home, I have a sweet but sassy dog named Mia, who always keeps life interesting.
